Vikings offense on fire

Fort Worth, TX - In their second matchup of three versus rival All Saints, the Vikings won the game before taking the field for defense. Scoring nine runs in the top half of the first inning, the Vikings would go on to score 16 runs, running their district record to 7-0, winning 16-3 Wednesday night.


Damaris Saldivar was her usual self at the plate, going 3 for 4, knocking in 4 RBIs while also scoring three runs.


Brooklyn Bennett, Makena Uranga, Kaylee Cox, Mallory Laux, Emmy Hornick all contributed to the first inning onslaught each knocking in a run of their own.


The Vikings would add three more runs in the second inning, two in the third inning and finished their offensive attack with two runs in the fifth.


In the circle, Uranga secured another win, striking out nine while allowing two earned runs. On the season, Uranga is sporting a meniscus 0.25 ERA.


The Vikings will return to action Friday night at home as they host the Warriors of Liberty Christian. First pitch is scheduled for 6 pm.
