Vikings dominate second quarter, beat Dallas Christian

Fort Worth, TX - Leading 14-8 after the first quarter, The Vikings held Dallas Christian without a point in the second quarter, going on a 23-0 run over eight minutes enroute to a 59-25 home victory. The win improves the VIkings to 2-3 on the young season.

“It is important we keep taking steps in the right direction, regardless of who our opponents are,” head coach Dylan Dudley stated. “We talk all the time about playing against the game and the biggest opponent is ourselves. I think our seniors took a step in the right direction after the disappointment Monday night. We will go back to work Monday after a few days off and prepare for another great test in San Antonio next weekend.”

The VIkings were led in scoring by senior Patrick Hoffman 14 points and senior Michael Jones with 11 points. The Vikings forced 25 Crusader turnovers while committing a season low eight turnovers.

The Vikings will travel to San Antonio next weekend to compete in the Adidas Classic hosted by San Antonio Christian School. Tournament action begins Thursday afternoon with games at noon and 4 pm against St. Mary’s Hall and Alamo Heights. Tournament action will conclude Saturday afternoon.
