Vikings beat Bishop Lynch to conclude Jesuit tournament

Dallas, TX - After failing to win their first two matches in the Jesuit tournament, the Vikings were able to finish the tournament with a 6-1 win over Bishop Lynch.

In the match versus Bishop Lynch, Ethan Pearson once again led the way with two goals for the Vikings. Luke Douglas, Cole Sorokolit, Alejandro Bustos and Lucas Kolp each added individual goals.

The first matchup of the tournament, the Vikings were shutout by the home team, Jesuit. The Vikings were unable to establish a consistent offensive attack, losing to a stout defensive effort by the home team. In the end, Jesuit was able to push across a single goal which was the difference.

Friday, the Vikings squared off against North Mesquite High School. The Vikings would get on the board first, as Ethan Pearson continued his stellar season with another goal. However the Vikings defense was unable to hold the lead, giving up two goals, falling 2-1.

“We have areas to get better in obviously, but I was pleased with a few our our guys. Ethan continues to have a great season, hopefully we can get some other guys on the board soon as well. District play is up next, we will be ready,” head coach Sean Eddington concluded.

The Viking will have two weeks off before returning to the pitch as they will open district play in a home match against Prestonwood, January 27.
