Emily Johnston drove in four on two hits to lead the Lady Vikings past Parish 10-3 on Tuesday night. Johnston drove in runs on a double in the third and a home run in the sixth.
The Lady Vikings earned the victory despite allowing Parish to score three runs in the third inning.
The Vikings opened up the scoring in the second off a single by Damaris Saldivar. They would pull away after that with three runs in the third inning.
Uranga was credited with the victory in the circle. She only allowed two hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out ten.
Nolan Catholic Lady Vikings also clinched the TAPPS 6A Co-District I Championship with the victory. They now await their next opponent in the their quest for a State Title!
