Vikings win at All Saints

Fort Worth, TX - The Vikings (5-2, 4-0) went into hostile territory Friday night and came out victorious with a 29-7 win over All Saints. The Vikings jumped on the board first, when junior quarterback Cole Matsuda connected with senior wide receiver Tre Parks-Vinson for the first of Matsuda’s four touchdown passes. All Saints would also score towards the end of the half, making the score 8-7 Vikings at the half.

The second half was all Vikings. Matsuda connected with junior wide receiver Jaiden Burnett for two scores plus another touchdown pass to Parks-Vinson.

All Saints never threatened the Vikings end zone after halftime until late in the fourth quarter. With the game all but over, All Saints would turn the ball over on downs deep in Vikings territory.

Matsuda would finish the game 8-11, 177 yards and four touchdown passes. Burnett and Parks-Vinson would each finish with four catches as the Vikings won the game thru the air.

The Vikings potent ground attack was held in check for the most part, as sophomore Kewan Lacy led the rushing attack with 73 yards on 15 carries.

The Vikings return to action Friday night at home vs Liberty Christian. Homecoming kickoff is slated for 7 pm.
